CJLA Travel Bursary
All qualifying CJLA members are encouraged to apply for this once in a lifetime experience!
The Canadian Junior Limousin Association (CJLA) will award one travel bursary valued at up to $1,000 annually, subject to available funding. The bursary will be awarded to a member in good standing based on an essay submission. Applications will be reviewed by one to three independent judges, depending on the number of submissions received.
Applicants must be between 16 and 21 years of age to be eligible. This bursary is intended to support opportunities for junior members to attend Limousin-related events or represent the Limousin breed at industry events and conferences.
Eligible destinations may include, but are not limited to: • CJLA Impact
• Stars Conference
• Canadian Western Agribition
• The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
• National Western Stock Show (Denver, Colorado)
• International breed events (such as Australia)
This is a self-planned trip. The CJLA is not responsible for arranging or covering travel, accommodations, meals, or other expenses beyond the approved bursary amount.

Stars Leadership Conference
The CJLA is proud to partner with the Canadian Junior Shorthorn Association to bring you the Stars Leadership Conference. The Conference is held annually in February during reading week and moves across Canada.
The goal of the conference is to network with other juniors in the purebred industry, expand on your leadership skills and learn about new technologies.

Herd Building Incentive
The Canadian Junior Limousin Association Herd Building Incentive Program is back!
CJLA members and recent alumni (up to age 25) are invited to submit a video exploring this year’s theme: “Deep Freeze, Big Impact: The Importance of Frozen Genetics.”
Each age category winner will receive a $500 frozen genetic voucher

Members entered into the program must be an active Canadian Junior Limousin member or recent alumni (up to age 25) who is currently an active Canadian Limousin Member. Applicants will have the opportunity to be awarded one of two prizes offered.
An active member is a junior who is in good standing with the CJLA and has paid their dues. Eligible alumni must have been actively involved in the CJLA in their previous junior years and be a member in good standing with the Canadian Junior Limousin Association and has paid their dues.
Members will only receive one of the listed prizes within their age category. Prizes will be awarded annually in conjunction with the Impact Show awards banquet.
