● all show cattle must qualify as a Canadian purebred, or fullblood as considered by the Canadian Limousin Association (a sire or dam may not have to be 90 % as long as progeny qualify)
● only points from approved and reported All Canadian Limousin Point Shows will count towards year end awards
● all points will be calculated using the All Canadian table
● calendar year calves are eligible to accumulate points except when shown along their mother’s side (the points will be given to the cow).
Awards will be given to:
● show bull of the year
● show female of the year
● show sire of the year
● show dam of the year
● year end awards will be presented prior to the sale at Canadian Western Agribition
Show Qualification
● a show must have a minimum of 30 head entered and shown to be considered a qualified show.
● a show chairman will be designated for each province or region. The chairman will be responsible for carrying out the rules and regulations of the All Canadian Point Show program in their respective region.
● a ruling committee will be in place to solve any problems and disagreements of show qualification.
● all animals shown must be registered, and tattooed at the time of showing, including calves at foot.
● each provincial show chairman must have show results reported to the CLA office within two weeks of the completion of the show to keep the point tallies current. Show results must include registration number, name, tattoo, birth date, and exhibitor for all animals in the class, not just the top placers.

The All Canadian Point Show program will encourage the promotion of Limousin cattle and the Limousin breed through the show ring by
- maintaining a high standard of competition and quality of cattle at Canadian Limousin shows;
- encouraging breeders to move between regions to show their cattle; and
- assisting fair boards, provincial associations and Limousin show committees with organization and promotion of all Canadian Limousin Point Shows.
