2012 National Junior Conference - Olds, Alberta
This year’s Canadian National Junior Limousin Conference will take place in Olds, Alberta July 11-13. It will be part of a youth livestock program known as Summer Synergy.
Summer Synergy is a collaborative venue between the Olds Agricultural Society and the Calgary Stampede to showcase youth in agriculture by combining traditional elements with innovative approaches for personal achievement and development. This increases inter-breed interaction, avoid duplication, improve financial sustainability, engage the public and enhance the profile of rural lifestyle and primary production.
While Summer Synergy is the host for several youth events held over one week, each one is run independently according to its own rules and competitions. A few things are combined, such as a joint banquet, a supreme show to declare an overall purebred and commercial champion female and the access to the Calgary Stampede Youth Livestock scholarships. The combined scholarships for 2012 will be approximately $100,000.
For information on the 2012 show, please check the
Summer Synergy website. This website will host information for all stakeholders and provide a link to online entries.
